Tummy Time Tips:

• Most babies can start tummy time sessions a day or two after they are born

• A baby can do tummy time several times in a day, few minutes at a time

• A newborn can start with 2-3 minutes of sessions at a time & gradually it can be increased

• Experts recommend 10-15 minutes of tummy time for 2 months old baby

• Tummy time can only be done when baby is awake

How to play:

Standing Mirror- Put the baby on the tummy and keep the mirror in the front. While gazing in the mirror, baby will try to lift the head up. This will strengthen the neck's muscle and will create self awareness. 

High Contrast Flash Cards- A baby's vision is blurred at the time of birth and by 3 months of age, they can only see in black & white. These high contrast flash cards stimulate baby's visual senses. Put the baby on the tummy and keep these standing flash cards in the front. The one piece cards can also be spread on the bed to make tummy time fun.

Crinkle Mat- Put this mat before baby while baby is on tummy. Let the baby interact with the mat. The crinkle sound will develop auditory senses. The black and white images will stimulate visual senses.

Rattle- While baby is on tummy, shake this rattle keeping it to the left and right of the baby to encourage baby's head and neck movement. The gentle sound will stimulate auditory senses.
